Design House GFG Style Presents The Kangaroo Car Concept

The Car That Rises Ground Clearance As Per The Terrain

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show is one event that will remain in the minds of car enthusiasts for sometime. In fact, it is an event that we will frequently make reference to going into the future.

One of the many unusual concept cars that came around is a rather unusual concept, with an equally an usual name. It is the Kangaroo, which Italy’s GFG Style describes as a “hyper-SUV.”

This in spite of the fact that the Turin-based design company that was founded in 2015 is relatively unknown. It is the outfit run by renowned creators, Automotive Hall-of-Famer Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son, Fabrizio.

Like the names behind the project, it is indisputably gracious in many ways. Its sleek bodywork is made entirely out of carbon fiber to keep the weight in check, while the trick adjustable suspension has three selectable modes: Racing (ground clearance of 140 mm / 5.5 inches), Road (190 mm / 7.5 inches), and Off-Road (260 mm / 10.2 inches) for when the going gets tough.

Those massive 22-inch alloy wheels might not seem off-roading material, but the ability to considerably raise the body enables the Kangaroo to tackle difficult terrain. The 90-kWh battery pack has enough juice for more than 280 miles (450 kilometers), although it’s unclear on which fuel consumption testing procedure.

Power is provided by a pair of electric motors each developing 180 kW, so combined output stands at the equivalent of 483 horsepower (360 kW). This is undeniably an leap forward for the relatively young startup.

If it indeed succeeds and continues to unleash vehicles with this kind of attitude,no doubt the future ahead is bright for them.
