There is a new minivan in town cut for good times

Virtually cars are getting hybrid versions. Quite some substantial development has gone into this area and it seems not even the sky is the limit. Good things are truly way into the future as demonstrated by the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan.

Chrysler hardly wastes our energy or effort. They have given us lots of good stuff for a long time and the Pacifica Hybrid isn’t far from this perfection. We also dare say its a pricey car that can do a commendable 32 miles on a single charge.

The Pacifica is several things rolled into just a single cream roll. Under the hood is a V6 engine thirsting for 3.6-liter. It is mated to an electrically variable transmission which gives it the combination of two electric motors and puts a total of about 260 bhp.

It is also a tech-responsive car that is laced with Chrysler’s UConnect infotainment system. This brings about an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while the gauges have a relatively huge and good-enough 7.0-inch screen. The crown of the infotainment system is, of course, the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Impressive additions include 4G LTE WiFi hotspot.

An outstanding gift from the Pacifica is interior space. While many hybrid cars today face the challenge of placing the battery packs right, the Pacifica manages to keep it under the floor and right in the middle of the vehicle. This ensures no interference with the interior space.

Chrysler has done very well with this one. Prices are around $50,000 and we will keep a close look to see how the market responds.
