See The Indomitable Vencer Sarthe From The Netherlands

The Dutch Supercar

A couple of years back, a little known Dutch company started teasing images of what would be an iconic supercar. It was named the Vencer Sarthe.

In Portuguese, Vencer means ‘to overcome adversity.’ One of the adversities that this vehicle had to endure was convincing the masses that indeed it was worth what it said it was. But why were the Vencer Sarthe and admirable machine?

In just a few years after its coming in 2013, the Vencer Sarthe underwent extensive changes including a shift from the V8 engine that gave 510-horsepower. The powertrain became a supercharged V8 generating 613 hp and 618 pound-feet of torque.

In addition, the Vencer used a Torsen limited-slip differential to improve traction without computer assistance. The curvy rear pillars were also given air intakes, and the rear door was made to get along its business electrically.

Inside this car, a minimalist approach is given with a central screen display for essential instruments paired with a few buttons and of course the gearshift. Being able to do a 0-62 mph time of 3.6 sec set this car in good tidings with enthusiasts and you can imagine the adrenaline rush as this car rides to the top speed of 210 mph.

This car had a price tag of $349,832. When folks get out there to experiment with automotive ideas, the world gets a good reason to get excited.

Although not much as been heard from the Dutch in this front since then, we can vouch for their daring nature any time.
