Sondors Is The Three Wheel Electric Car
Rewriting History With An Awesome Electric Car
As the wave of electrification takes over the automotive industry, it’s becoming even more clearer that innovation isn’t a preserve of the giant dealers. Small, little known but highly ambitious players are invading this space and rewriting history in a manner hitherto unknown.
In 2017 SONDORS Electric Car Company raised just over $1 million through equity crowdfunding to build a concept prototype. Less than a year later, the Model SONDORS is a reality.
There is one very amazing thing about Sondors project; it is the fact that just two years prior to this, they had successful brought around an electric bike that equally got a lot of attention.
The three-wheeled Sondors electric car is intended to start at just $10,000. Customers will also have a choice of for 75, 150, and 200 mile range battery packs.
It will have three seats, quick electric performance with a 0-60 of 5-8 seconds (presumably depending on battery pack) and be sold online with direct customer delivery. Sondors is targeting 2019 to start delivering vehicles, assuming fundraising goals and all other factors remain on schedule.
For one to realize how passionate and ambitious the team is, we may need to look back at the words of CEO Storm Sondors. He said, “I know this is going to be hard and we will face many hurdles thrown at us but I can tell you that I am ready for it. Everyone told me selling electric bicycles for under $1,000 was impossible. They said I would have to compromise on the quality of the components. They said many things. But I did not care, I went ahead and built it and sold it. And seeing the happy smiles on my customers means everything to me. I want to do it again. I want you to be an investor and join me in this exciting journey. Together we are going to change the world while having fun.”
That right there is determination. One of the other great things about this car is that it has the looks! It is a beautiful curvy creation with a spear-like tailgate.
By making it three wheeled, Sondors attempts to by-pass several regulatory requirements. As the Chief Electric Officer and CEO puts it, this one aims at rewriting history and it is surely half way there.
