Distinguishable SUV With Competitive Suites

Cupra has now branched from the Seat mothership and is now a brand in its own right. Thus, our focus here is not on the Seat Ateca Cupra, but rather the Seat Ateca Cupra. Understood?

To a good extent, Seat believes there are bigger margins to be had making a high performance family SUV than a hot hatchback. And Seat also believes there’s a fairly sizeable gap in the market for a Cupra Ateca, even as the SUV market steadily grows almost out of control.

The brand new car comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine making 296 bhp and 295 lb ft. It does 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds.

It hits a top speed of 152 mph. It also gets all-wheel drive, a DSG automatic gearbox, adaptive suspension, a bespoke exhaust, and optional four-piston Brembo brakes.

The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with loads of gadgets as standard, including a wireless phone charger with signal booster, and sat-nav. Including DAB radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone mirroring.

It is a rather spacious car with boot space jumping being able to comfortably hold enough luggage for a family of four on a week’s holiday. Having sprinted from a brand that is trying to also find its footing with a number of brands on sale, the Cupra Ateca has made a great attempt in trying to stay outstanding.
