The Fast-Charging GAC Enverge Spots A Youthful Appeal!

The Chinese Crossover Of The Future

The rise and rise of the Chinese economy is all round. Critics aside, the Asian giant has its mind, body and soul on anything and everything that can rake in some extra income for its hefty population.

Its promising manufacturer, the Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) unveiled the Enverge in 2018, an electric concept crossover SUV aimed for thee North American market. The GAC Enverge is aimed at ‘young consumers’ and caters for its target market with bold styling and features such as scissor doors and a complete lack of side windows.

With its svelte coupe-like design that features angular shapes and creases, you can easily find elements that uncannily resemble those of the Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept car that was also revealed in 2018. Using the two doors you can easily access the four seats inside.

The company calls it the interior the ‘floating space.’ The cabin design features a horizontal display screen and VR technology but the most unusual feature is the glazing, or lack of it.

The Enverge is built on GAC’s all-new EV platform and is powered by a 71 kWh battery that gives the small crossover a range of over 370 miles. Fast charging is available with the Enverge taking just 10 minutes to charge up 240 miles of range.
