The Iconic Movie Car Delorean Re-made Into A Replica

A Movie That We Loved, Makes A Car Loved In Equal Measure

One of the most fantastic facts about the automobile world is that there are always enough people daring to try something extraordinary. Sometimes, the lengths and extremes to which they go border unrealistic.

“Back to the Future” is a movie that was, and to some still is, brilliant, witty and unequivocally startling. Ollie Wilkey of Keynsham, Somerset borrowed his idea of the DeLorean Time Machine the iconic and outstanding vehicle that starred in in the “Back to the Future” series.

This guy went to great lengths and troubles to make his replica car perform the miracles of its original look-alike. For instance, at when the vehicle hits 88 kph, several programmed lights accompanied by time travel sound effects come to life, seductively illuminating the car and the surrounding region.

That’s not all, Ollie’s DeLorean car is even convertible into a fly car, just as one driven by Doc Brown would do at the end of the ingenious film. True enough, unlike any other high-end car, the DeLorean is the kind of car that pulls smartphone cameras from people’s purses in traffic. It is unique in every aspect.

Ollie says he forked out a handsome five-figure sum for his DeLorean and he has no regrets that it left his savings drained to the last coin.
