The New SEAT el-Born EV Aims To Change The Company’s Fortunes

The el-Born From SEAT Hopes For A Revival

Is there an idea about EVs that has been experimented? How much more are we yet to see? Clearly, this is just the beginning and lots of experimental, almost hypnotizing ideas are still developing.

It so happened that the 2019 Geneva Motor Show was a time and place to show off some truly epic stuff for the future. SEAT choose this event to show its new all-electric concept, the el-Born, which not only looks surprisingly stylish, but previews a production model based on the Volkswagen MEB platform.

The final version in 2020 will probably be quite similar to the concept, which could make it a pretty hot car on the market. SEAT really took advantage of its possibility to use the MEB platform to offer an appealing long-range EV with decent performance.

Not only is this car exterior attractive but also intrinsically tech-loaded. The el-Born showcases extensive mobile and internet connectivity features, in line with market trends. Although the car was branded much as a concept car, SEAT says a production version will be on sale in 2020.

The gorgeous machine features a similar hatchback profile to the VW ID and styling. It is this styling that Seat design chief Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos calls it “the ultimate translation of our emotional design language into the new world of electrical vehicles.” He adds that they are striving for customers to fall in love with the idea of an EV.

You can’t, for whatever reason fail to fall in love with the Seat el-Born for it redefines, in many ways, what SEAT aims to achieve in coming days.
