The Rejuvenated Jeep Renegade: Smart Off-Roader

In It’s Own Space, Class, And Style

There are so many ways of describing the Jeep Renegade. It is stout, firm, effective, and a true off-road performer. It is also classy, elegant and fine enough to define and distinguish you among your peers, no matter what they drive.

The Jeep Renegade is your boxy little wagon. It is actually the littlest among all Jeep models, a characteristic that makes it outstanding.

The Renegade comes with a choice of a 160-hp turbocharged 1.4-liter inline-four engine, driven by a six-speed manual transmission gearbox. You can also go for a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter inline-four with 180 horsepower that comes only with a nine-speed automatic.

The 2.4-liter is an option on Sport, Latitude, and Altitude models but is standard on the Limited and Trailhawk. We like looking at what tech has been offered on the infotainment section and the Renegade does put in some good effort in the refreshed 2018 version.

The base Sport model boasts of a 5.0-inch touchscreen with voice control and Bluetooth connectivity. If you are the sporty type and would love to grade it upwards, you can install a 7.0-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The dual-pane glass power sunroof is also available on some trims as from the upgraded 2018 version, same as Jeep’s 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with navigation.

The Jeep Renegade is not made primarily to compete with any other in any class or category but rather to curve a life of its own. It’s more of a vehicle that prefers to be create its own persona, space, and style.
