An Eco-Friendly Alternative: Formula-E

Formula car racing is always an impressive sight, but those super-charged engines aren’t exactly stellar for the environment. Luckily, there’s an eco-friendly alternative: Formula-E. With cutting-edge hybrid engines (with a bit more emphasis on battery power than gas), these guys can storm the racetrack while leaving a fraction of the carbon footprint. High-octane entertainment can be environmentally friendly, who knew?

The cool part about Formula-E racers is that, due to their reduced impact, they can safely drive in exotic locales without adversely affecting the local environment. Case in point, these cars took to the frigid arctic for a series of races. These vehicles battled it out on the frozen tundra to see who could burn the most rubber without letting the icy roads send them spiraling. Throw in a few goofy sound effects, drop some caltrops on the road, and call up Dick Dastardly, and you’ve basically got yourself an episode of ‘Wacky Races.’
