The Car Built To Compete Against Lamborghini

At the 2002 Geneva Auto Show, there came quite an interesting car from Casablanca. It was named the Laraki Fulgura and it is a roman work that translates to “lightning.” Looking closely at the numbers associated with this distinct machine, it had been appropriately named.

Under the hood, the Fulgura wore a V12 engine consuming 6.0 liters. With this, the supercar generated 720 horsepower and pulled 600 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm.

It sprints from zero to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds. It was an innovatively designed car meant for super performance and amazing moves. It also had that aggressive look that portrayed as a vicious competitor.

It is luxurious yacht designer Abdesslam Laraki who established Laraki in 1999. He went ahead to design cars including the highly heralded Laraki Borac and the Laraki Epitome that caught public attention at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours.

The Fulgura borrowed mechanical from the Lamborghini Diablo, it drives on a 6.0 L V12 engine from Mercedes-Benz. This is a quad-turbo, which tells you there is some massive power on this car, which further emphasized by the 920 hp output. Doing 3.3 secs from zero to 60mph, this car plays appropriately in the supercars league.

One of the elements that caught the public eye is, of course, the African roots of this car. Nonetheless, its makers have gone ahead to become distinctive experimenters on this supercar circles. It is evident that at this rate, it is only a matter of time before game-changing stuff comes from this region.
