Tesla Teases A 2020 Roadster That’s Technologically Overambitious

Teslas Is Working On A New Sports EV

Tesla is the EV company on so many people’s lips. Some are mere onlookers, the kind that watches with a lets-wait-and-see attitude and those that scurry for any details patiently.

The company has unveiled plans to bring about the Tesla Roadster which is a follow up to its 2008 Roadster and what was its first-ever vehicle. The new Roadster planned to hit the road by 2020 spots as great and more enhanced updates just as we would have loved to see.

To start with, it promises to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds and within 4.2 seconds it will do 0 to 100 mph. This one has a top speed of 250 mph. It draws propulsion power from 200 kW/h battery which can keep it going for a significant 620 miles.

The obviously elated CEO Elon Musk recounted the journey at an investor event saying, “Back when we created the company we said we’d build Tesla Roadster. They said it was impossible. And that even if we did build it, nobody would buy it. This was like a universal opinion, that building an electric car was extremely dumb and would fail. I agree with them that probably the failure was high but that this was important.”

Among the teasing technologies that the Roadster promises are a door handle system that is technically way above several things, we’ve seen. On this one, you swipe a finger on a biometric reader on the B-pillar next to the door and you can now access the inside.

It has been hinted on other prototypes but it becomes special on this car.
