Celebrating 100 years of Bentley

Bentley calls it the “ultimate collector’s version of all-new Continental GT.” Indeed, it stands out spectacular especially when it reminds you that only 100 of these will be made in celebration Bentley’s 100 years.

The top-of-the-range British marque has branded the Continental GT Number 9 Edition made by Mulliner as one very special car to ever come out of its factory. In addition, this car pays tribute and gets cues from a legendary vehicle in the company’s line up, the epic supercharged Bentley Blower.

It is the Blower that represented Bently at the 1930 Le Mans 24 hours under the control of Sir Henry Ralph Stanley “Tim” Birkin. Although Bentley hasn’t announced any dates for releases, it is widely expected that all the 100 units will sell-off way before the official launch.

In this particular car, a lot of “B” logos are perched on various interior parts including the headrest and door panels. To some observers, this might be an insignificant gesture but it is not mean in any way. Bentley plans to have this feature extended to all its line-up this year with specially created badges in Centenary Gold being set on the trunk, wheel centers as well as the wheel hood.

A specific appearance is “1919 to 2019” lettering on the wheel and trunk badges. The key fob, as well as the steering-wheel buttons and the gear selector, will also receive the gold-color treatment.

The sum total is a car that is well suited to be as historical as is marvelous in aesthetics and functionality. We can’t wait to join the part as the year winds down.
