This Is The Elemental RP1 On A Specific Mission

The Car Founded By The Mind Behind The McLaren Formula 1 Team

John Begley the founder of Elemental is a man with vast experince. He has worked for McLaren’s Formula 1 team and on its road car department. He has also worked on BTCC race cars. In 2012, he felt there was a gap he wanted to fill.

He handpicked a team and set out to desoghn the Elemental RP1. Thus the team brought about a marching experience to build an epic car.

This car rides on a turbocharged 2.0-litre Ford Ecoboost engine but it has all the caborn fibre composite as its strongest selling point. With this, the aluminium tub weighs 65kg and the car is built in a feet-up sitting position.

The suspension is in-board fully asjustbale and rear suspension is perched on a wishbone where the gearbox is also affixed in a weight-saving mission. This is a doorless car that also has no roof but comes with a pair of aeroscreens and full windscreen is optional.

With its tank carrying 50-litres and 200 litres in luggage space, this car aims to take on some serious challenges such as the Audi R8. Sometimes, these kind of cars are more experimental to their builders than practical.

However, considering all the efforts and the revolutionary approach that such a project has been given, it is safe to say that the developers are keen to make serious profits.
