Why The New Bugatti Chiron Noire Is Making Headlines
This car borrows from the best
The one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire priced at $12.5 million raised so much attention that its makers thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea making a few more. They chose to make 20 more affordable pieces priced at $3.3 million each.
But it would seem the French carmaker had already found great motivation to make follow-up versions based on this ultra-expensive car and so the marque built the Butti Chiron Noire. This particular Bugatti is offered in two trims dubbed the Noire Élégance and the Noire Sportive. The main difference is that while the Élégance has its carbon-fiber body completely exposed, the Sportive has a matte-black finish.
The engine on this car is still the quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 found in the Chiron. This car draws inspiration from the 57 SC Atlantic created by Jean Bugatti built between 1936 and 1938 and car enthusiasts hold that if any unit from this ear was ever to be found, it would probably be the most expensive and most valuable car in the world.
Bugatti plans to give this Chiron a sporty option that adds $110,000.The company says it will only make 20 of these with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2020. This will be an absolutely gracious car that will remain relevant for the next decade or so.
