Chevrolet introduced Equinox way back in 2004 which tells you that it has seen better days,been there and done that. It is the 2018 model that received quite some overwhelming upgrade that has rolled over to 2019.

This model comes around with a 170-horsepower turbo-four engine, a 137-horsepower turbo-diesel, and a 252-horsepower turbo-four. The 2017 Equinox brought a 182-horsepower four-cylinder engine and a 301-horsepower V6.

The interior is equally upgraded with features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Teen Driver, a safety alert seat, lane keep assist, and low-speed automatic emergency braking. From the frony, the 2019 Crossover wears a wide, two-tiered grille.

It has headlight options for different trims: halogens on base L and LS trims, HIDs on the Equinox LT, and LEDs on the more upscale Equinox Premier. The NHTSA gave this Chevy a five star rating overall on its testing.

The IIHS concurred scoring Chevy’s compact crossover SUV with “Good” ratings in every test. However,the headlight design is holding the Chevy from pocketing the Top Safety Pick award which rated “Marginal” regardless of bulb type.

The Equinox’s curvy dashboard is very sensibly organized and easy to maneuver. The Equinox uses a conventional lever and it’s all the better for it.

Most models pack a 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment. An 8.0-inch version comes on the Equinox Premier only.

Chevrolet has simplified the Equinox for everyday use. With the new tweaks, it is bound to do well for itself.
