There Is A Way To Build Your Car Like The 9FF GT9-R
The Kind Of Car Made to Give The Ultimate Thrill
Even though the GT9-R remains an exclusively rare car with only 20 of them being made, some folks at Porsche turner 9ff thought it was not good enough and set down to do some tweaks in it. When they were done, the car based on the Porsche 911 became a custodian of some of the craziest numbers on supercars at the time.
The 9ff GT9-R wears a 4.0 Liter six-cylinder boxer engine garnering a whopping 1120 HP. It is this immense power that propels the modified 911 in only 2.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. The top speed stops at 257.2 mph.
As if to tease our minds some more, another version GT9 has the capability to hit 987 HP and this can be upgraded from the lower version priding 750 HP version. These are machines for the selected few in the wide wild world and they come with just as much influence as the individuals who own them would love it.
This car drives the rear wheels with the help of a six-speed conventional gearbox or a sequential gearbox if you like. The lesser powerful model bears a 5-speed Tiptronic gearbox.
As at the time the GTP-R was undergoing this overhaul, the TKR supercar produced by British automaker Keating had claimed a 255.8 mph, making it the fastest mover on land. Sometimes we don’t get dazzled by what supercar makers achieve in the end but more by the kind of effort that goes into achieving the desired end.
The guys at 9ff ride on a slogan that says “we don’t build any car, we build your car.” This points to their innate desire to achieve by whatever means a car that can truly give owners the ultimate thrill.
