The Subaru Impreza has done its good grand campaign for the brand over the years. Thus, a car based on the Impreza also becomes a machine of interest in many ways.This is the Subaru Crosstrek.

The Subaru Crosstrek is a small SUV based on the automaker’s Impreza. It is distinguished in several ways, first, coming as with standard all-wheel drive and seating for five. It’s powered by a 152-horsepower, 2.0-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine that works with a six-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Though it is not designed for rugged off-road use, the Crosstrek has 8.7 inches of ground clearance. It is fights for a market slice with competitors such as the Honda HR-V, Jeep Renegade, Nissan Rogue Sport and Hyundai Kona.

For 2019, Subaru has included a considerable upgrade which includes the brand’s EyeSight safety system available in the Limited trim level and is available for the CVT-equipped 2.0i version. EyeSight includes adaptive cruise control, automatic pre-collision braking, lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist.

In typical Subaru fashion, the Crosstrek has a basic and durable-feeling interior that prioritizes function over form. Subaru’s StarLink infotainment system is clearly organized, offers plenty of connectivity features as standard, and is easy to navigate in everyday use.

A 6.5-inch touchscreen is standard equipment and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, along with the expected Bluetooth support and a USB port. The Limited and hybrid models come with a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen that offers SiriusXM satellite radio plus some additional support apps; navigation is optional but only with the 8.0-inch display.
