We Are Pleased With The Chrysler Portal Minivan
This Isn’t Your Average Minivan
Chrysler says that the weird and distinct Chrysler Portal electric minivan will make its way to production in 2020. This car first debuted at the CES 2017 and gave speculators a reason to think of all the possibilities it might be preparing for.
Besides the tech and the futuristic focus of the Portal, Chrysler has made this car with nothing short of a crazy design. Among outstanding features is a fold-away steering wheel, which drivers can store away while the Portal’s self-driving system is in use.
Then there is a pair of sliding doors, one for the front row and one for the back row. Once they fold open, the inside cabin is left wide agape.
Remember Chrysler was one of the first automakers to introduce sliding doors back in the 1980s and knows quite a lengthy deal of stuff about them. They actually kind of give the Portal its exclusive look.
Perhaps the futuristic focus of the portal is best captured in the description that Chrysler has chosen for the Portal. “Millennials are a tech-savvy, environmentally-aware, cost-conscious generation. The Chrysler Portal concept is designed to respond to these needs and it explores the possibility of what a family transportation vehicle could look like for the millennial generation as their lifestyles evolve.”
As we look at this evolution, the Portal promises to deliver a set of great advanced features that will come in handy for future mobility.
