This car is OK on European roads, but not on American roads

Lotus cars have given us some epic machines over time. In spite of their small command of the market, you cannot rule out their determination to make a mark in the sports car world.

In 2011, the Lotus Exige was made so powerful by giving it a Toyota V6 engine that it is a track-only car in the United States. The Lotus Exige Cup 430, is a no-nonsense speedy car that exudes no less than 430bhp and carries a 3.5-liter V6 engine plucked out of the Evora GT430.

With this, it spends only 3.2 secs from 0-60 mph. It will hit the 180 mph top speed with the same extreme flash speed. In 2017, the Cup 420 became the quickest road car and you really won’t be able to keep up. It’s the fastest Lotus road car ever.

The 430 bhp 3.5-liter V6 engine from the Evora GT430 (the last new Lotus) is slotted into the welterweight Exige, the result being a 3.2 second, 0-60 mph time and a 180 mph top speed. Lotus doesn’t make cars for fun but means serious business.

They sometimes tweak the numbers way too much but remain truthful to the sporting promise. When such a car gets accepted in some quarters and totally banished in others, you can tell there is some serious element of road craze hidden right in its performance.
