The Impala nameplate is quite an old one on Chevs having been around since 1958. It is credit for its spaciousness while keeping the prices significantly at an affordable scale.

Things haven’t changed much even with the current generation. The Impala has always promised and provided a large trunk, posh seats and a promise of smooth riding have been great selling points and the trademark of the Impala.

The engines available for an Impala are never made for necessary adrenaline rush. They are reasonable and good enough to move from point A to B.

It is only provided as a front-wheel-drive with either a 197-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder or you can tilt up things with a 305-hp 3.6-liter V-6. Both engines mate to a six-speed automatic transmission. The V-6 makes quite a good companion with its competitive punchy horsepower.

The Impala is a spacious car and makes it good for a family car. It is also placed with Chevrolet’s Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system which chooses to be less distracting.

It is also very intuitive and responds well to and fast to driver requests. There is also the standard six-speaker stereo as well as an 11-speaker Bose system for your audio output.

It is more or less a car for your daily needs that is pocket-friendly. It is great for a family on a budget. Unfortunately, Chev says it will be discontinued after the 2019 production year.
