Crazily Customized Hummer H2 With Booming Sound

This Deafening Hummer H2 Boasts 86 Speakers

While we marvel at the relation that man and machine continue to form, we can’t take for granted the lengths taken by some creatives. They border extreme.

Rafael Capone from Atlanta has done the unthinkable to a Hummer H2. He has modified it and given it 86 speakers, 11 amplifiers, and more than a mile of LED light wiring.

It isn’t the first venture he is engaged in and has modified cars for as long as he can remember but this one goes to a whole new level. The ‘Soul Asylum H2’ Hummer, built to promote his recording studio has no equal.

The speaker-packed road beast has turning heads and attracting mammoth crowds at car show competitions. “The reaction when we pull up is always a, ‘Wow, I love your car’,” he says, “We love people to sit in it. People always say, ‘My God, this sounds like the recording studio, it sounds like I’m actually at a concert’.”

You don’t need to look to far to see how outstanding this vehicle is. Beyond the incredible sound system and light set-up, the Hummer’s standout features include a fibre-optic illuminated head liner on the interior roof and a full PA system with microphones.

“I am a very humble person but we make people change up their lighting game. It’s ambient lighting, it’s back lighting, it’s offset lighting, it’s like you would do in a home.” The ‘red chrome’ wrapped truck took a year to modify, with the help of custom shop, Traffic Jams Motorsports.

He got into this game in 1991 and he has been producing custom cars ever since. This bespoke machine is outstanding in many ways, especially given that it is equally powerful to tackle just about any terrain.

Although he says won’t reveal how much money he has invested in the custom H2, he has an idea of how much he’d have to be offered to sell. “Without hesitation it will be a quarter million dollars,” he says.
