This Is A 1959 Buick Invicta Recreated To Youthful Gem

Meet The Man Who Recrated Teenage Memories With A ’59 Buick Invicta

Ron Meis of Lead, South Dakota decided to pay tribute to his first car, a 1959 Buick Invicta, but never saw things in the same way they eventually turned to be. Gorgeous.

When it finally settled in a workshop, the first order of business was to set the enormous body on a custom built Art Morrison chassis. Then, an LSA engine was plucked and placed in the Buick.

This is simply a supercharged 6.2L powetraining accumulating 556 or 580 hp, depending on how it’s dressed; the Cadillac CTS-V and ZL1 Camaro are the original environments for the LS. They are well known for their supersonic acceleration abilities and proper road handling.

The exterior was equally sharpened up with lots of smothered curves. The bumpers were refined and smoothed, the grill lost some extra stuff for a simpler look, while the antenna and badges were completely skipped.

Custom hinges operate the hood, designed to be useful but not seen. This also happens to the door handles which are set into the trim and sits rather undetectable without a thorough search.

The paint forms one of the the most customized aspect of the car. It is known as the blue Suede, the top is coated in Cadillac White Diamond.

This was so much above Ron’s expectation that good old man would be at ease rekindling his teenage years in this cool car. This was more than a facelift, it was remodeling or recreating altogether.
