This Is One Crazy Car: The Tramontana R Edition
The Car Named After A Spanish Wind Is One Rare Element
If you want to get the more realistic version of Tramontana in its true sense, you think of a very strong wind cuts across parts of Spain from the north. The wind is so strong that some legendary tales claim it causes madness.
Now, when you place a name like that upon a road-legal vehicle, then there is some craziness not only in its making but on the whole idea as well. Earlier in 2019, Catalonia supercar maker Tramontana Group announced the Tramontana R-Edition.
Even in those very initial stages, it became a car that reviewers were lost on words to describe this seemingly outrageous car. At that time, one popular tab claimed, “We’re not really sure what to say about the look of the car.”Adding that, “the new supercar has a distinct Batmobile appeal.”
To that extent, the car had been given quite a befitting description for it makes you wonder where exactly it falls. This car minds its weight like a human on a diet. Both the body and chassis are crafted out of aluminum and carbon fiber while weight is distributed 50-50, back and front.
The rather silent automaker is the brainchild of a Josep Rubau a sports racing and supercar enthusiasts whose dream was to build a sports car that everyone can ride. But the Tramontana R Edition might not be the perfect description of a car that everyone can ride, for it has some truly crazy specs, abilities, and even design. Nonetheless, there are some folks willing to pay $495,000 for the supercar, with only 12 being made each year.
