Volkswagen Ventures Into The Truck Market With The Tanoak

At the 2018 New York International Auto Show Volkswagen introduced the Atlas Tanoak which is its first pickup based on Volkswagen’s MQB or modular transverse matrix architecture. From the feature’s presented, it is clear that this is a not as much a workhorse even though it is a truck but more of a lifestyle-orientated pick-up.

The Tanoak has been designed to offer a range of different engines, including turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol and diesel units as well as the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 petrol power plant featured in the concept with 276 bhp and 258 lb ft of torque.
