The Concept Looks Amazing

The Lexus LC Convertible concept was unveiled at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show. Sometimes in 2018, the company introduced the coupe and now this becomes its premier drop-top version.

This has been largely talked about and there is reason to see it coming to production especially going by its similarities with the production coupe. It carries the same headlamps, the same massive grille, identical mirror caps and wheels, and a similar rear fascia.

In other words, we see a standard coupe with a revised upper section. The vehicle that the Japanese firm brought about on 22-inch alloy wheels, while the interior is upholstered in white leather with yellow highlights.

The production LC coupe is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 mated with a 10-speed automatic. It prides 471 ponies and 398 lb-ft of torque. Lexus hasn’t mentioned what powers the convertible concept, there are high possibilities a different powerplant would be under the hood.

A notable difference to the coupe includes added length. “A production version of this concept would be exhilarating in many different ways,” said Tadao Mori, chief designer of the LC convertible concept. “You would see its dynamic lines as you approach, hear its engine when you started it up and feel everything around you once on the road. It would engage the senses in a way that is unique and exciting every time you got behind the wheel.”

This is one point at which we agree with Mori; this one would be nothing less than exhilarating and we will be eagerly waiting to see how it all turns out in the long run.
