Dyson Unveils Their Electric Concept Sports Car

Dyson Enters The Car Arena

Although British-based company Dyson Ltd has over the years cut a niche as a manufacturer of household appliances, company founder Sir James Dyson is an extremely ambitious man who likes pushing ideas just a few steps further. He is now eyeing the electric car market with a sports car he says will be “radically different.”

His initial steps to achieving his goals include hiring a team of high-riding experts. He has brought on board Roland Krueger, former president of Infiniti, as the head for Dyson’s automotive division.

Krueger who previously headed Nissan’s Luxury division is tasked with delivering the kind of car that Dayson envisions by the year 2021. Electric car makers are yet to find the right footing in regards to battery fittings.

Dyson knows this and is making heavy investments to come up with the most suitable for its hypercar. James Dayson said, “Wherever we make the battery, we’ll make the car; that’s logical,” he said. “So we want to be near our suppliers, we want to be in a place that welcomes us and is friendly to us, and where it is logistically most sensible. And we see a very large market for this car in the Far East.”

Already, the firm has put up a production plant in Singapore and an R&D and testing facility is under construction in the UK. According to the company’s executive, this car isn’t expected to be cheap but it will make use of the best technologies developed by its wide team of engineers.
