There’s nothing more bothering like an unsettled mind. It keeps man awake in the night as he looks for ways to settle things down. This is what made Jeff David from Australia to spend time and money in building an unbelivably cool hypercar.

In the beginning, it was just an Ariel Atom producing 300 hp. Two years and 1,800 hours later, when Jeff David was done with his work,it had upped to an astonishing 700 hp.

All, this he did in his shed with a commitment he says can only be garnered through passion. He acknowledges that it was more than a full-time job. It was an obsession, an up at 5:30 am till 7 pm work day, seven days a week.

“It’s probably the highest-powered supercharged engine in the world,” David poises. Boasting a one to one power to weight ratio of 751 kW/tonne, the Quantum has more than double that of a Lamborghini Aventador and is just a fraction slower than your average Formula 1 car.

Every body panel was replaced with new ones made from his own carbon fiber-Kevlar creation. The suspension alone has been a 30-year long project in the making. The front wing is hand fabricated with a design based on a Formula 3 wing.

It would fetch him a handsome price, he says but he is unwilling to ever sell one. Nonetheless, if you fork out enough dough, he would be willing to recreate one for you.
