The Amazing New Edition Renualt Talisman Knows It All

Great Looking SUV Adds Enviable Specs And Driveability

The Renault Talisman is one spectacularly handsome car from the French car maker. The front-wheel drive Talisman is available in PE, SE and LE trims.

There’s a 2.0-liter normally aspirated four-cylinder motor rated at 138 bhp and 193 Nm, which mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). There’s also the turbocharged 1.6-liter mill with 187 bhp and 260 Nm.

The Talisman is a distinguishable feature in terms of looks with great exterior designs. Its front end is dominated by the C-shaped LED daytime running lights, which are Renault’s design boss Laurens van den Acker’s signature, and they give it real presence.

The PE Talismans don’t get this feature. However, its low roofline, long body and the rump defined by light clusters, which almost meet in the middle, give it a strong identity.

The Talisman has a best-in-class wheelbase of 2,808 mm, concomitantly leading to best-in-class rear knee-room of 262 mm. There’s also generous headroom (902 mm) and shoulder-room (750 mm) in the front, while there’s a 608-liter boot sitting at the rear of the car.

In addition, infotainment features include 7.0 in TFT instrument and the 8.7 in portrait-aspect R-Link 2 infotainment screen in the dash — that only appear on higher models. But overall, it’s an attractive, roomy interior and that R-Link 2 system works superbly well.

Let’s see how it plans to dislodge its competitors going forward.
