Why Build A Car Such As The Lamborghini Pregunta?

The Fighterjet Replica That Ended Too Soon

The Lamborghini Pregunta might not ring a bell with mild fans of sports car. However, in the Lamborghini stable, it is a car whose history is well documented and can’t just fade.

The Pregunta is among cars just before Lamborghini crossed over to be owned by the giant VW Group. Created on the platform of the magnanimous Lamborghini Diablo, the Pregunta aimed at producing 530 bhp using a V12 engine.

The top speed was all the way to 207mph after hitting zero to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds. This car was unveiled to the public at the Paris Motor Show in 1998 and observers were quick to highlight the inspiration from the aerospace industry.

Notable highlights of these feature include the same matte-grey paint sported by the Dassault Rafale fighter jet. The fiber optic lights were also something worth writing home about.

You also notice the inclining roofline that slopes towards the front. It also carried rearview cameras as opposed to mirrors and came complete with GPS navigation tools.

Perhaps to a good extent this is a concept that reminds us of Lambo’s ability to produce cars without fear. The company does this so often, sometimes making historic milestones without ever producing a single car from the concept.

This is indeed a confirmation of Lambo’s confidence in what they do.
