Dodge Promises To Deliver A Unique Mix Of Power And Tech In This Car

When it came back in 2013 after a self-imposed hiatus, the Dodge STR packed more power and a serious overall change in design. It was lovely and sportier outside just as it was inside.

The 8.4-liter engine that produced 640 horsepower and pulled 600 pounds-feet of torque was incredibly good for a thrust. It was given a six-speed manual transmission as the only gearbox option. All said and done, this car was as sporty as it was meant and supposed to be.

Things would, however, change a few years down the line. In 2017, the fifth-generation Viper marked the end of its production, setting the stage for an all-new version expected to in 2020.

This one promises to come with a V-8 engine that is naturally aspirated and generates 550hp. But it is the promise of a supercharged model that will bring 700hp that keeps our taste buds wanting.

Dodge says the Viper will first come as a convertible and then a coupe will follow. In addition, it is expected that it will don a lot of aluminum and carbon fiber in a bid to challenge competitors.

Dodge has taken its time to learn form grievous mistakes donned in the 2017 fifth-generation Viper. As such, they promise to bring about an exotically outrageous and lovable vehicle in their next issue. True enough, we can’t wait to step on the gas and feel the power of the new Viper.
