The Topsy Turvy Bus That Was Created Out Of Protest

One Bus On Top Of The Other? That’s Epic

Steve Braithwaite, 55, and his business partner Tom Brown, 56, aimed at creating something that would show authorities how out-of-touch their budgetary their priorities were with the needs of the people. They felt that
the government’s priorities were upside down and said just as much.

“It shows how the federal budget is different from what people of the country want. We want to educate people about where their tax dollars go,” said Cohen. But it is the journey and the awesome results that sent heads turning.

“You don’t realize what’s involved until you get to the point of building it,” said Steve, “two school buses cut in half and then one of them is turned upside down and placed on top – it’s hard.”

But it was an exciting project that took the two business partners around six months to put together. It was sold and eventually found its way into the hands of environmental organisation Hazon who had such a great response they decided to commission the Mutant Brothers – Steve and Matt – to make a second one.

“I’ll never forget the moment we saw them both on top of each other it was so exciting, we were high-fiving and hugging, it was incredible.” Such seemingly outrageous ideas make the wheels of our world turn with fun. We are out to check out more of these for you.
